Abstract

«The Jews and Europe» (1939) is an important text within Max Horkheimer's work. It shows paramount tendencies and changes in the theoretical work of the Institut für Sozialforschung in exile, such as the centrality of the new stage of capitalism and its connections with anti-Semitism, war and fascism. This brief introduction is intended to provide a context for the first spanish translation of the article.
