Abstract

This article analyses the interpretation of antisemitism of three very different authors: Franz Ronsenzweig, Jean Paul Sartre and Theodor W. Adorno. For Rosenzweig, antisemitism is a permanent temptation of Christianity. For Sartre, it is an artificial creation of the antisemitic gaze. And, for Adorno, antisemitism is a latent possibility in occidental rationality. In any case, antisemitism is concerned with vital areas of our culture. The critique of antisemitism has to deal with the lethal possibilities that lie in Christianity, in the dominant culture or in occidental rationality.
