In the Camera Obscura. On the Exhibition “The Frankfurt School and Frankfurt: A Return to Germany”
Keywords:
Frankfurt School, Critical Theory, intellectual emigration, first years of the Federal Republic of Germany, German JudaismAbstract
The text analyses the exhibition “The Frankfurt School and Frankfurt: A Return to Germany”, which took place at the Jewish Museum of Frankfurt am Main between september 2009 and January 2010. The setting of the exhibition succeeded to bring back to discussion different perspectives which were long time silenced; these perspectives proved to be essential to understand not only the Frankfurt School and his significance in postwar Germany, but also Critical Theory as such.Downloads
