Abstract

The concept of physiognomy is approached by the author as a way of knowledge and expression. In this way, he brings together and articulates gnoseologic, sociologic, and metaphysical lines, as well as some from philosophy of history that cross Walter Benjamin’s thought. This allows him to apply that way of knowledge and expression to Benjamin’s own thought and figure. The result is an impressive portrait with an outstanding stylistic demand and a great mimetic fidelity to the figure described. In this way, Constelaciones extends its intention of providing Iberoamerican readers translations of outstanding contributions for the interpretation of Critical Theory, which value resists the passage of time.
