La recepción de la Teoría Crítica en Brasil: el caso Merquior
Abstract
La recepción de la Teoría Crítica en Brasil se inició en la muy temprana fecha de 1969 por parte de José Guilherme Merquior (1941-1991). Dicha recepción está marcada por la impronta heideggeriana de este autor, lo que lleva a identificar a Marcuse y Adorno con unos tópicos reductores -negativismo, radicalismo apolítico, esteticismo alternativo, etc.- y a afrentarlos a un Benjamin positivizado y optimista completamente desfigurado, así como a proponer una alternativa marcada por su adhesión a la ontología existencial. Paradójicamente estos tópicos se han mantenido en la recepción posterior, tanto en autores vinculados a posiciones de izquierda más radical, como en otros más próximos al pensamiento de Habermas.Downloads
