Materialism as anamnese of genesis. Alfred Sohn-Rethel ?s influence on Adorno ?s interpretation of transcendental subject
Keywords:
transcendental subject, dialectic, materialism, idealismAbstract
The main goal of this article is to investigate the evolution of Theodor W. Adorno’s reading of Sohn-Rethel to present it as a central theme for the formation of his own materialistic philosophy. Sohn-Rethel was the first to point out that the concept of the transcendental subject represents not only something abstract; it represents the society unaware of itself. The purpose is to expose some aspects of Adorno ?s interpretation of the subject-objectrelationship and transcendental subjectivity from a materialistic dialectical position.Downloads
