Abstract

This paper aims at analyzing the relation between the Messianic ideal in Judaism, the Shoah and the establishment of the State of Israel are connected with a particular form of modern Jewish identity. We are interested in developing the idea that modern form of Judaism is generated by the articulation of Messianism and Shoah: this relation will have important consequences in Diaspora and Israel, especially in the possibility of new antisemitic manifestations from the end Twentieth Century until today.
