EL POPULISMO AUTORITARIO COMO ESTRATEGIA NEOLIBERAL DE GESTIÓN DE LA CRISIS

En esta contribución, el autor utiliza el término populismo autoritario acuñado por Stuart Hall y lo entiende como una forma particular de gestión de crisis neoliberal. Al igual que el thatcherismo que tenía en mente Hall, el populismo autoritario en el período actual es una política seguida por partes del bloque de poder. No contradice el neoliberalismo, sino que lo continúa por otros medios. Como en las fases anteriores de la política neoliberal, ya no se trata de una cuestión de hegemonía, sino de evitar concesiones a las clases dominadas.
